What do you do for fun? I like to travel and explore different cuisines. I also love anything fitness related.
If we held a talent show, what would be your act? I would be a singer. I love to sing and dance. Karaoke is my thing.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? What about now? As a child I wanted to be a psychologist. I loved to talk and I was a child that analyzed everything. Times have changed but I use my counseling skills to help my students.
What is an experience that shaped you as a teacher (or learner)? I have had many experiences that shaped me as a teacher. Going to FAMU in undergrad and connecting with my professors was the best experience. They were very supportive and I still keep in touch with them til this day. They were the best mentors while in college and now. I still use some of their approaches when mentoring my own students.
What is your favorite part about teaching? My favorite part of teaching is getting to know students. I love to hear the stories they share in class or in small groups for discussion.
