What excites you about design thinking? How have you used design thinking in your work? Design Thinking excites me because it is so powerful at inducing new ideas that solve real problems. It can fast track innovation.I have been developing a synthesis workshop based on some of the concepts I learned in the Graduate innovation fellows. The idea would be to help the entrepreneurs I work with increase their ability to synthesize what they hear from their conversations with potential customers

What do you do for fun? Play basketball, poker, boardgames. Like to hike, travel, eat, and debate as well.

If we held a talent show, what would be your act? Hand noises

What is your favorite part about teaching? Feeling that those that you are teaching can take an idea or lesson you provide and turn apply to any number of things that hopefully improves the lives of others.

Where are you from? (Interpret as you wish.) A member of my family has lived in Maryland since before the revolutionary war. Before that I have ancestry across Europe. Also, in a more abstract way, I am from stardust.

Ask me about…

  • Ask me about a good food place in Georgetown
  • Ask me about a good credit card recommendation
  • Ask me about the economy and would love to hear from you as well
