Why do you teach IDEA101? I teach IDEA101 because I love having the opportunity to meet and learn from new students and also support them in reaching the goals they set for themselves!

What excites you about design thinking? It is such a creative way to attack a problem. I find myself getting stuck a lot when I try to solve a problem because I try to only see what is “realistic," but sometimes you have to think way outside of the box and from a different perspective to find your solution and design thinking allows me to do that.

What do you do for fun? Traveling is my favorite thing and I wish I could do it every month!

What is your favorite part about teaching? Learning from my students! In a classroom, I always say I am not the expert, we are co-creators of knowledge and it's so true. Every class session that I “teach,” I always walk away learning something new.

Where are you from? I was born in New Jersey, but raised in North Carolina.
