Innovation and Social Change – Do Good Now

The iGive community opens up a spring semester course to introduce all interested Carillon students to the concept of social innovation, while exploring the many mechanisms for achieving social impact. During the semester students work on a social issue of their choice. They investigate the issue, interview stakeholders, and develop a project plan. The student-led team will have the opportunity to compete in the campus-wide Do Good Challenge.

PLCY215 is a three-credit course that fulfills a Distributive Studies Scholarship in Practice General Education requirement.

If you have questions or are interested in registering for this class, please email carillon@umd.edu with your full name and UID number.
