RADical Health
Empowering and Equipping Young People with Tools to Stay Well and Stay Resilient
Carillon Communities is pleased to announce the integration of RADical Health into our curriculum in Fall 2024. A four-week, peer-led experience designed to build resilience in first-year students, RADical Health supports the development of mental, physical, and emotional well-being. More than 30 Peer Guides will lead over 360 Carillon students through the program in September, helping them to build connections and community as they settle onto campus.
In partnership with colleagues in Student Affairs, Carillon successfully piloted RADical Health in three communities–Art & Activism, Health Justice, and Masculinities & Family Health–in Fall 2023. This year, we worked to incorporate the program into our signature Studio course (IDEA101), allowing us to offer these resources and supports to students in each of our twelve communities. Carillon's work with RADical Health was featured in Maryland Today. Read the article here!
RADical Health was developed by RADical Hope, a foundation dedicated to improving the futures of young adults.
