Why do you teach IDEA101? It is a way for me to interact with students and impart them with skills that are necessary to solve some of the world’s pressing problems.

What excites you about design thinking? How one is able to turn challenges into opportunities.

What is special to you about Carillon Communities? The idea of working together as a team reminds me of an African proverb “If you want to go far, go alone but if you want to go further, go together."

What do you do for fun? I watch Netflix, travel to new places and go hiking.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? What about now? I wanted to be a lawyer so that I can fight for the marginalized but now I want to understand human behavior.

What is your favorite part about teaching? When students realize the AHA moments and learn from each other.

Where are you from? I am from Nairobi, Kenya. We are known for long distance marathons and Safari. This is my longest time being away from home.

You can ask me about: Safari, Kenya and Swahili food.
