Anissa Scharborough

Resident Director, Department of Resident Life 

Anissa (she/her) is a resident director by day. By night, it depends! She spends time with family and friends, reading, dancing, napping, or singing. She is from NYC, so she would like to explore the DMV. Anissa loves teaching because she likes to help students learn and develop. She also values what students teach her as well. She is teaching IDEA101 because she likes the bridge of academics and student development. It is a well rounded class that has taught her so much. Something that makes her laugh are movies. Comedies and Rom-Coms are her favorites! When she wants to relax, she listens to R&B. A song that energizes her is Alien Superstar by Beyoncé. Anissa is most in her element when she is helping students. She loves the color blue, and she believes that potatoes are the best and most versatile food.
