Diana Forbus
Annual Giving Manager, Division of University Relations
Diana (she/her) works by day in the Office of Annual Giving, where she provides opportunities for alums to give back to programs across UMD. By night, she makes stuff (she considers herself fairly crafty), reads, watches TV, scrolls the internet, and spends time with her husband and their cat. She’s teaching IDEA101 because she loves creative problem solving and connecting with first year UMD students, helping chart a path for the next four years and beyond. Things that make her laugh include animal TikToks, dry humor/sarcasm, the kids in her life being their silly selves and her siblings (though she says that no one will ever think they are as funny as they think they are) and her husband. When she wants to relax, she listens to Sara Bareilles. She is most in her element when she is given the space to be her (occasionally awkward) self, talking about her favorite topics, spending time with friends and family, and using her anxiety for good.
